El Rio Azul Restaurant
Rio Azul is one of the most highly appreciated restaurants in Europe, with its own specialties: shellfish and the best Cantonese cooking. Restaurant is visited by gourmets from all over Europe as well as by Chinese and Oriental tourists.
This is multilingual site, containing Spanish and English language parts as well as menu information in Spanish, Catalonian, English, Chinese and Japanese. Original design is by our Spanish partner company 333Art. We developed HTML layout, assembled pages and data. We used our general strategy applied to static site, whereby information is contained within XML structures separately from its visual representation. Presentation templates have been developed in XSL. Using such approach we can substantially simplify the process of site modification and maintenance. Site data is changed via easy-to-edit XML structures, whereas visual representation of all the pages is simply modified by changing the XSL. Since this site did not have to be dynamic (information is relatively rarely changed) and is not bound to a particular server platform, it has to be recompiled, following information modification to XML files. Our tool does that automatically, transforming site to traditional HTML when needed.
