We had to develop a software product for a store that is in the retail way offline and offers also some goods on the Web.

For warehouse management our clients used a system developed by “1C” company. Business accounting was based also on a solution from “1C”.

Future system had to solve the following tasks:

Forming of a united structure by synthesis of data from different sources. Commodity classification is stored in a database, prices are regularly sent from suppliers by email in MS Excel files.
Generation of web pages based on the structure.
Processing of online orders.
Integration of new software with existing ones.

Results

System implements data import from MS Excel files, MS Access databases and text files into a uniform XML-structure.
Pages of web site’s catalogue are generated on the base of this structure.
A customer fills in the order form on a web site. Data are converted into a suitable format to be stored in the database. At the same time data is transformed into another format to be stored in the warehouse management system developed by “1C”.
Data synchronization between all employed software systems is supported.
